There are no studies dealing specifically with Ahmadis in Canada. The best introduction to the group and to the Ahmadiyya movement in general are J. Robson, “The Ahmadis,” in Religion in the Middle East, vol.2, edited by A.J. Arberry (Cambridge, U.K., 1969); W. Cantwell Smith, “Ahmadiyya,” Encyclopedia of Islam, vol.2 (Leiden, Netherlands, 1960); and Modern Islam in India (New Delhi, 1963). Other, more detailed accounts include H.J. Fisher, Ahmadiyya: A Study of Contemporary Islam on the West African Coast (London, 1963); Yohanan Friedmann, Prophecy Continuous (Berkeley, Calif., 1989); and Spencer Lavan, The Ahmadiyyah Movement: A History and Perspective (Delhi, 1974).
