The recent war in Bosnia-Herzegovina has prompted the publication of a wide variety of studies on this little known land. Among these is a solid introductory history by Noel Malcolm, Bosnia: A Short History (New York, 1994). Also useful are two collections of essays that trace systematically the evolution of the country from earliest times to the present: Mark Pinson, ed., The Muslims of Bosnia-Herzegovina (Cambridge, Mass., 1993); and Robert Donia and John Fine, eds., Bosnia and Hercegovina: A Tradition Betrayed (Ann Arbor, Mich., 1994).

There are no studies of Bosnian Muslims in Canada.
