A well-researched history of Hyderabad is Narenda Luther, Hyderbad: Memoirs of a City (Hyderabad, 1995). Also useful are Raza Alikhan’s Hyderabad: 400 Years (1992) and City of Legends: The Story of Hyderabad (1992). Harriet Ronken Lynton and Mohini Rajan, The Days of the Beloved (Berkeley, Calif., 1974), is one of the many histories available of the Deccan kingdom, but no cultural or social history of Hyderabad or of Hyderabadis in Canada has been published.
