Tuesd. 5th,—Went to Mahone Bay early this morning for the purpose of settling a dispute between Mrs. Sarah Zwicker, and George Zwicker, her father in law, which was referred to Arbitration. The subject of dispute was a House and Land, Mrs. Sarah recovered £70. Thursd. IJfth,—Died at 12 O'clock noon, Mrs. Mary Harley, widow of the late Dr. John Harley. Aged 78 years. Sunday, llth,—Attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Harley at 10 O'clock this forenoon. February, 1858 Wednesd. 2^th,—This evening a meeting of the Lunenburg Diocesan Society was held in the Church, being the 25th Anniversary. The Church was crowded. The following is the programme of the evenings proceed- ings;— Opening Hymn, Children of Zion, etc. Evening prayer, by Revd. J. Drumm. 100th Psalm. Sermon, By Revd. H. Spike. Heber's Missionary Hymn. Report of Society read by the Rector, Revd. H. L. Owen. Adresses from the Desk, by Revd. J. Drumm; Mr. Henry Almon; Revd. H. L. Owen, Rector of the parish. Friday, 26th,—Halifax papers received by last night's mail show that our worthless Members, Henry Bailley, & Geo. Geldert, have again been at their dirty work, that of bringing a Bill into the House of Assembly for the purpose of robbing the Church of the ground upon which it stands. March, 1858 Sunday, 6th,—A man, Willm. Tanner, died this morning very suddenly, being at the time engaged in sawing wood.
